Delegates, endorsements and tension

You have to wonder what all the media attention on superdelegates and endorsements (read about it here) is doing, or not doing, for party unity.

Certainly there's a lot of discussion about this wing and that wing of the Democratic Party on the national level, and the fervor expressed by the Obama and Clinton supporters creates, shall we say, a lot of tension.

But how about at the state, and even county level? How do grassroots activists and elected party leaders and Democratic officeholders work together to achieve a Democratic agenda? Thoughts? Ideas? Comments?
