Betty McElderry

Betty McElderry is running for re-election as Oklahoma's Democratic Party National Committeewoman.

A recent postcard from Betty says:

"Dear Democratic Leader:

Because I share your commitment to the Democratic Party, I am a candidate for re-election as your National Committeewoman. It has been my honor to serve as the Oklahoma Democratic Party's liason to the Democratic National Committee.

Many know me from my ten years of service as State Co-Chair and Chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party. My battles with Governor Keating were fierce. During that time I was a DNC member on the executive committee of the Association of State Chairs representing the Midwest Region.

Presently, I serve on the Resolution Committee of the DNC where much of the policy of the Democratic Party originates. Before this I settled jurisdictional disputes as a member of the DNC Credentials Committee.

I understand the challenges our Party faces on the state and national levels. As a Yellow Dog Democrat my commitment is stronger than ever. I am asking for your vote and support on February 23rd.

Sincerely,
Betty McElderry"

Betty, 69, lives in Purcell with her husband Neil.
