Step One of the Delegate Selection Process is Over!

Yesterday ended a heavy work load for DNC Field Director, Christine Byrd. After numerous weeks and long hours of working on the selection process, Byrd reported over 300 wishful voters had applied to participate in the Democratic Delegate Selection Process which will take place Saturday, February 23 at our state convention.

As hundreds of hopeful delegates convene at the Marriott Hotel on NW Expressway in OKC, only 47 will be elected to represent the state during the National Convention in Denver.

The first “determining step” of Oklahoma’s delegate selection process will occur Tuesday, February 5, when voters go to the polls to cast their votes for their respective candidate. Tuesday’s primary will determine the total number of delegates each candidate will receive.
