The Answer to the Questions

I have received two questions from different anonymous readers that some of you may want to know the answer to. The first question pertains to the name of the blog. The reader wants to know “Why is this blog pink and not blue? Blue would make more sense".

The reason for the name is quite simple. Democrats around the world are experiencing a wave of change. We have awakened a sleeping generation of voters that realize their involvement in the political process is important.

For year’s, voters in Oklahoma have voted Republican during the Presidential primary elections. However, statistic shows that Democrats out-number the total number of registered voters in our state.

To answer the question; “Make It Blue” is a Blog for change. As you are aware, the Republican Party is usually symbolized by the color red. The color pink is a softer, less violent red, therefore I have chosen the color PINK as a symbol of good things to come for the Democratic Party.

I hope this answers the question as to why the Blog is colored PINK, and not Blue.

The second question is related to our state convention. The question is, “Do you have to be a State Delegate to attend or just to vote"? A quick answerto the question is; the Oklahoma Democratic Convention is an open meeting. The public is welcomed to attend; however, only credentialed delegates will be able to participate in the voting process.
